Abstract:
Two new coordination compounds with various parallel interpenetration forms {[Cd(L1)(sdb)·H2O]}n and {[Zn(L2)(hfipbb)]·H2O}n {L1 = N,N′-bis(4-pyridyl)isophthalamide, L2 = 4,4′-([1,1′:4′,1′′-terphenyl]-3,4′′-diyl)dipyridine, H2hfipbb = 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene) bis(benzoic acid), 4,4’-sdb = 4,4’-sulfonyl dibenzoate} have been synthesized based on two V-shaped pyridine ligands, that is, symmetrical L1 and unsymmetrical L2 ones. The compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
