Abstract: The reaction of Zn[N(SiMe3)2]2 with N-alkyl-N-[ω- (pentafluorophenylamino)alkyl]-N-[2-(pentafluorophenylamino) ethyl]amines afforded new bicyclic zinc complexes. The complexes initiate ring-opening polymerization of ɛ-caprolactone and trimethylene carbonate to give the corresponding polymers with high molecular weight and satisfactory degree of polymerization.
