Lower bounds in real Schubert Calculus

We discuss the numbers of real solutions to osculating instances of Schubert problems in Grassmannians. We use the relation of those problems to the Gaudin model to establish a lower bound on these numbers. (This is a report on a joint work with V. Tarasov).
