Hanoi National University of Education is a public university in Vietnam. Established in 1951 as the fourth university in Vietnam, it is now still one of the largest higher education institutions in this country. Its main mission is to educate highly-qualified teachers and science researchers. It also operates a national high school to nurture gifted students, known as HNUE High school for gifted students.
Established in 1951 with the name: National University of Science Education, the school was headed by Prof Lк Vгn Thiкm, the father of Vietnam's Mathematics society. In 1956, it was merged with National University of Arts and Social Science Education and renamed Hanoi University of Education. In 1993, the school, University of Hanoi and Foreign Language Teachers’ Training College became the main posts for the establishment of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNUH). However, after some opinions were sent to the Vietnam government suggesting an independent institution specialized in training teachers, the school broke up with the VNUH and became the Hanoi National University of Education.
The biggest astronomical optical telescope in South East Asia is situated on the school campus. Источник информации: https://www.hnue.edu.vn |
