Reactivity of α-Metallated Alkylarene Tricarbonylchromium Complexes. Preparation, Properties and X-Ray Crystal Structure of (η-C3H5)Pd(CH2Ph-η6)–Cr(CO)3, a Novel Complex with a Palladium–Chromium σ-Bond

The reaction of [Cr(η⁶-PhCH₂ZnCl)(CO)₃ 1 with [{Pd(η³-C₃H₅)Cl}₂ 2 in tetrahydrofuran yields a novel compex [(η³-C₃H₅)Pd(CH₂Ph-η⁶)–Cr(CO)₃] 3 with a Pd–Cr bond; the reaction of 3 with Phl leads to [Cr(CO)₃(η⁶-PhCH₂Ph)].
