Abstract: The dynamics of free massless fields of spin s in the metric formalism is described by the Fronsdal equations. Just as metric gravity can be equivalently formulated in the language of differential forms (Cartan's tetrad formulation), so Fronsdal's equations admit a tetrad formulation (the so-called central mass shell theorem). These equations and nonlinear corrections to them can be systematically obtained from the Vasiliev generating system. In this report, I will show how the transition from metric to tetrad formalism is made for higher spin fields and demonstrate how the central mass shell theorem is reproduced from the generating system and nonlinear corrections are found.
