Schur processes and random Young diagrams

In the talk, based on a series of papers by A. Okounkov, we will describe how techniques coming from integrable systems and related to the Fock space, boson-fermion correspondence, etc., are applied to some problems in probability (the study of random partitions and random three-dimensional Young diagrams).
