Solution of transcendental equations in elementary functions

In this presentation it will be shown how to apply topological Galois theory methods to prove unsolvability of transcendental equations (that is equations, that only involve elementary functions) in elementary functions. Two concrete examples will be considered in detail - it will be shown that they cannot be solved in elementary functions.
