Abstract:
Quantum inverse scattering method allows to obtain spectra and correlations of one-dimensional quantum many- body systems, using commuting transfer matrices. Recent advances allow to study the same systems under nonequilibrium dissipative setup, which ruins unitary time evolution: Schroedinger equation for the wave function is replaced by quantum Master equation for the density matrix. As an illustration, I will show how to construct a nonequilibrium steady density matrix of an open XXX 1D Heisenberg model with dissipation at the borders which polarizes boundary spins along fixed and different directions.
