The Markoff and Lagrange spectra

The Markoff and Lagrange spectra are two subsets of real numbers arising in the theory of Diophantine approximations. In my talk I will start from basic definitions in this area. After that I'm gonna prove some classical theorems by M. Hall and G. Freiman. If we would have enough time, I`ll say some words about my own results.
