Snc degenerations of Fano varieties

Consider a family of Fano varieties over a curve germ such that the central fiber is a simple normal crossing divisor (snc). Then under the minimality conditions (anti-canonical divisor class of the total space is relatively ample) the central fibers of such degenerations were classified in dimension 2 (Fujita). We will obtain this classification using the three-dimensional Minimal Model Program. Then we will discuss possible generalisations to dimension 3.
