On some results in multiple orthogonal polynomials and its applications

In this talk I will give a short overview on some results in multiple orthogonal polynomials and its applications. In particular, the following topics will be partially covered: strong asymptotics of multiple orthogonal polynomials for Angelesko and Nikishin systems, higher-order recurrences and asymptotics of multiple orthogonal polynomials, Padé approximants for functions with branch points and strong asymptotics of Nuttall–Stahl polynomials, large limit of random matrices and multiple orthogonal polynomials.
