Automorphism groups of Hopf and Kodaira surfaces

Hopf and Kodaira surfaces are certain compact complex (analytic) surfaces that cannot be deformed to projective surfaces. I will survey various results concerning their automorphism groups, in particular, the structure of finite subgroups acting on such surfaces and their relation to elliptic fibrations on them.
