Abstract:
In the talk, the author will try to recall the names of the main mathematicians who formed the Voronezh School of Differential Equations in the 1970s-80s-90s. Among them, M.A. Krasnoselsky, S.G. Krein, V.P. Glushko and others. Particular attention in the talk will be given to the school on singular differential equations led by I.A. Kipriyanov at Voronezh University. The results of this school on singular differential equations, and especially on equations with Bessel operators, have received worldwide recognition. The terms "Kiprianov spaces", "classification of singular (degenerate) equations according to Kipriyanov" have become generally accepted in mathematical practice. The author will tell in more detail about the results of one of his teachers - V.V. Katrakhov on the theory of degenerate equations and transformation operators, as well as on the results of V.Z. Meshkov according to the well-known problem of E.M. Landis, relates to exact estimates of the decay rate of solutions of the stationary Schrödinger equation.
