Abstract:
There has been observed an interesting relationship, called gauge/YBE correspondence which establishes a surprising connection between the solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation and the partition functions of supersymmetric gauge theories. This correspondence is a powerful tool that enables us to generate new integrable models based on field theory techniques. In this talk, we provide an introduction to the subject and discuss recent developments related to the integrable models of statistical mechanics, discrete Painleve equations, knot theory, etc.
