Optimal linear approximation and Lobachevsky geometry.

We consider optimal approximations of the third vector from two known ones. From the point of view of orthogonal transformations or the introduction of new scales, it is proved that new unit vectors appear on the plane as a result of the introduction of another scalar product. The possibility of simplified algorithms for the approximation of the third vector (function) by two known ones in spaces with scalar products is also considered.
