Biography

Dmitry I. Trubetskov was born in Saratov on June 1938. He graduated (received M.S.) from the physics faculty of the Saratov State University in 1960. He received Ph.D. degree (candidate of science) in 1965 and Doctor degree (doctor of science) in 1975, both from the Saratov State University in padiophysics. Dmitry I. Trubetskov is head of chair of electronics and wave processes of the Saratov State University, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the IEEE, Scientific Supervisor of the College of Applied Science of the Saratov State University. His research interests are in the area of radiophysics in that its part which is connected with the interaction of free electrons with electromagnetic fields and with theory of microwave devices; in the area of oscillations and waves theory; in the area of application of nonlinear dynamics methods in different fields of science. History of science is also one of his interests.

Dmitry I. Trubetskov is author and co-author of 11 monographs and textbooks in microwave electronics, oscillations and waves theory, and history of microwave electronic tubes. One of his books, which was written with M. I. Rabinovich, translated in English and published under title "Oscillations and waves in linear and nonlinear systems" (The Netherlands: Kluver Academic Publisher, 1989). He is currently editor of "Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii: Prikladnaya Nelineynaya Dinamica (Applied Nonlinear Dynamics)" journal.
