He graduated with honors (1973) from the Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute of Telecommunications (at present the Siberia State University of Telecommunications and Informatics), majoring in Multichannel Electrocommunications. He received his Doctor in Technical Sciences degree (1996) from Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU). Currently he is a Professor at the Telecommunication Systems department, Ufa University of Science and Technology. He is a SPIE member, Academic of the Telecommunication Academy.
