Graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Gorky State University in 1971 in specialty «Computational Mathematics». Winner of the USSR Council of
Ministers in the field of cybernetics. Works as a senior researcher at the Center for Informatics and Intellectual Information Technologies of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics of the State University of Nizhny Novgorod. Scientific interests: system programming, database management system, geographic information systems, digital mapping.
