CDAM©LSE was, until July 2007, LSE's Centre for Discrete and Applicable Mathematics. CDAM©LSE aims to continue the work of the Centre by bringing together the many strands of mathematical work being carried out at the LSE, raising the profile of mathematics in the social sciences. In order to achieve its goals, CDAM brings together members from the departments of Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, and others within the LSE. CDAM was established in the year of LSE's centenary, 1995.

CDAM is particularly active in the following areas: Game Theory; Combinatorial Optimisation; Theory of Economic Forecasting; Mathematical Programming; Complexity Theory; Discrete Probabilistic Analysis; Mathematics in Finance; Social Choice Theory; Algebraic Graph Theory; Artificial Neural Networks and Computational Learning Theory; Rendezvous Search Theory.
