The Russian Research Institute of Regional Problems was created in 1991 on the initiatives of professors Ailamazyan A. K., Gurman V. I., Moiseyev N. N. in accordance with the decree of the State Committee of Higher Education of Russia. It is located in the ancient Russian town, Pereslavl-Zalessky, near Fyodor Monastery. The director of the institute is, the professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, Ailamazyan A. K.
The Institute of Regional Problems regulary holds international workshops on applied mathematics, regional analisys, informatics and system analisys.
