Established in the year 1956, the college St. Josephs College, popularly known as Devagiri College envisioned by the C.M.I Congregation, is a Christian minority institution and was formally inaugurated by the then Governor of Madras.

First affiliated to the University of Madras and then to the University of Kerala , this college is now under the University of Calicut00.
