The State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology VECTOR (SRC VB VECTOR) is one of the largest Russian research and production biotechnology complexes.
VECTOR's scientific interests lie in studying infectious pathogens in order to fight diseases and provide biological security to every Russian citizen.
Basic research is focused on generating new scientific knowledge in molecular biology, virology, genetic engineering, biotechnology, epidemiology and ecology.
The unique assets of VECTOR include highly qualified researchers and engineers and state-of-the-art experimental facilities, which allow the conduction of research on human and animal pathogenic viruses in total safety for both personnel and the environment.
VECTOR comprises several research institutes, production units, and other departments. Moreover, the VECTOR is an associated member of several unions and associations, both in Russia and internationally.
