The Mathematics Department was founded at 1969; there were only one staff member and two demonstrators for teaching mathematics for students in different faculties like faculty of Science, Education, Engineering, and Commerce. That is, it was necessary to enlist the aid of other colleagues from other mathematics departments. That is, it was necessary to enlist the aid of other colleagues from other mathematics departments. Now, appointed in the department 5 professors. 12 associate professors, and 23 lecturers. Twenty assistant lecturers, demonstrators as well as 20 researches grant holders also assist these staff members. In addition to that, post-graduate research was also encouraged within the department under the direct supervision of the staff members.Further more many staff members are members also in different Egyptian mathematical Organizations, Egyptian mathematical Society, National Commute of Mathematics and Egyptian Permanent Commutes.
