Saratov State Technical University is one of the biggest educational and scientific centers of the Volga region and throughout our country. SSTU is among top 15 of the 164 higher technical and technological universities of Russian Federation in official rate of Russian Ministry of Education.

Saratov State Technical University was founded as Automobile & Road Construction Institute in 1930. In March 1960 it was transformed into Polytechnical Institute and then in December 1992 it got a status of the state university.
