Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan is situated 800 kilometres eastwards from Moscow. The city is situated on the left bank of the River Volga, where River Kazanka joins it. 1.2 million people of more than 80 nationalities live in Kazan. The two main religious in Kazan are Christianity and Islam. Kazan has moderate continental climate. Average temperatures are: in January (the coldest month) — minus 14C, in July (the warmest month) — plus 19C.
KSPEU is an institution of higher education in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. We produce specialists in power engineering, and hold one of the leading places in the region in terms of levels of education, technical equipment, as well as conditions for scientific activity and study.
There are approximately 8,700 undergraduate and postgraduate students from various regions of Russian Federation, CIS countries, as well as countries of Asia, Africa, North and South America, who currently study at KSPEU.
The University hosts training courses for specialists in various spheres of industry, science and engineering.
Our highly qualified and motivated team of staff conduct lecturing and run practical classes. Over 20% of lecturers are Doctors of Science, professors; 84% hold postgraduate scientific degrees and titles. There are associate members of the Russian Academy of Science and the Academy of Science of Republic of Tatarstan, as well as members and associate members of numerous academies teaching at the university.
