Menoufiya University (MU) was founded in accordance with the republican decree No.93 in compliance to the increasing demand on the higher education in Egypt . MU started with four faculties; Agriculture, Engineering, Education, and Electronic Engineering. Now, MU has 22 faculties & institutes: Agriculture, Engineering, Education, Electronic Engineering, Science, Commerce, Medicine, Arts, Law, the National liver Institute, Home Economics, Nursing, Specific Education, Computers & Information, Genetic Engineering Institute & Biotechnology Research Institute, Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Tourism & Hotels, Institute of Environmental Studies & Research, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Commerce, and Faculty of Law.
