The course is an introduction to representation theory of finite-dimensional
algebras. Our main goal is to get close to Auslander-Reiten theory
- Modules of finite length. Jordan-Hölder Theorem.
- Simple and indecomposable modules. Krull-Schmidt Theorem.
- Radical. Jacobson radical. Semisimplicity.
- Projective modules and projective covers.
- Semisimple algebras. Artin-Wedderburn Theorem.
- Quivers, path algebras, representations of quivers.
- Projective dimension. Hereditary algebras.
- Morita equivalence.
- Algebras of finite type. Gabriel’s Theorem.
- Introduction to to Auslander-Reiten theory.
