The main objective of the conference is the development of the scientific potential of the South of Russia in the field of fundamental and applied mathematics, strengthening of integration ties with Russian and foreign colleagues, attracting talented young people and bringing up a new generation of researchers.

The conference was founded by Vladikavkaz Scientific Center of Russian Academy of Sciences ​​in 2003 and is held in 2019 for the 15th time. Scientists from various cities of Russia, as well as scientists from the near and far abroad are planning to take part in the conference.

The work of four sections is supposed to be: “Functional spaces and theory of operators”; "Differential and integral equations"; "Mathematical modeling and data analysis"; "Modern problems of mathematical education."
