On the convergence of Seidel's method for solving a system of linear algebraic equations

Abstract:
New sufficient conditions are found for the convergence of Seidel's method for solving linear systems. It is shown by examples that, using these conditions, the convergence of Seidel's method can be proved, while the convergence of Seidel's method and simple iteration cannot be proved by the previously known sufficient conditions.
