Abstract:
To study processes in a collisionless plasma a new numerical method is proposed in which Vlasov's equation for the electrons is solved by the method of particles in a cell, and the ion equation by the “water bag” method. The efficiency of the proposed approach for the numerical simulation of the interaction of intense electromagnetic radiation with a plasma is demonstrated.
