Abstract: An optimization problem for the mean pollution concentration in a region was formulated. An algorithm for solving the problem with restrictions on “controls” of local sources was proposed. Numerical experiments illustrating theoretical statements concerning the problem and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm were performed.
Key words: adjoint equations, optimal control, Tikhonov regularization, numerical modelling of pollution.
