On influence of the arbitrary parameters in the Gaussian beam method

A. I. Lanin, M. M. Popov
Abstract: The influence of the arbitrary parameters in the Gaussian beam method is discussed. An example of exact solvable problem shows the possibility to extend the domain of validity of the method by means of appropriate choice of these parameters.
