Computer multiplication and division of independent random varialbes

N. N. Ljashenko, M. S. Nikulin
Abstract: Differences between distribution functions of rounded and “ideal” products of independent uniform distributed random variables are investigated. For some natural situations the problem is reduced to the consideration of r. v. in [1,2]. Similar questions for rounded and “ideal” ratios are discussed.
