Global solvability of the initial boundary value problem with periodic boundary conditions describing 2D Maxwell flow

Abstract:
The system of equations describing 2D flow of Maxwell fluid is considered. The global existence of a weak solution for the initial boundary value problem with periodic boundary conditions is proved. The result allows us to prove the solvability of the corresponding Cauchy problem.
