Parametric estimates of a density function and characterization of the families of distributions with a location parameter admitting sufficient statistic

Abstract: In the paper estimators of a density function depending of a location parameter are investigated. It is proved that the optimal equivariant estimator has the form (1). Characterization of the families with a location parameter possessing sufficient statisticsis obtained.
