Abstract: In this paper, we describe the creation of an information system with dynamic data. Such systems are called prosopographic database, and it's useful if we work with information sources regarding «curriculum vitae» or «collective biography» of various social, occupational and other groups of people. This approach we use to solve the problem of structuring information about the central administration's clerks, who were the main point of central governance in the Moscow State at XVI–XVII centuries. They have played a key role in the implementation of administrative decisions in the Time of Troubles of early XVII century, when the power passed from one ruler to another, and the number of professionals who know how to make the documents was limited.
The main aim of our information system is the support of research activities. The target audience is historians, sociologists, political scientists, who has research interests in the Russian government structure during the Time of Troubles period.
System requirements include:
1. To provide to researchers the analytic tools for analyzing the government structure and clerks personnel serving the Russian state at beginning of the XVII century. Also it should allow to add any information from the newly disclosed historical sources.
2. Implement a model of verified data update (new data should not get to query results without a positive conclusion of an expert).
3. Implement an ability to use the system from anywhere in the world with the broadest class of devices.
The proposed system is implemented as a Web application on the LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) using MVC architecture (Model, View, Controller). This platform is oriented to small web projects and its capacity is sufficient to implementation the system with described requirements.
Keywords: information system, systematization of data, prosopography, the Time of Troubles, clerks governance.
