Influence of the plasticizer reactant on properties of coal-water fuel synthesized based on the electrohydroimpulse technology

Abstract:
At present, oil is the main source of organic raw materials. Its limited world reserves and
permanent increase in the cost of production due to involvement of more hard-to-reach fields in
exploitation stimulates the development of new technologies for chemical processing of alternative organic raw materials. Coal world reserves of which are substantially larger than those of oil
and gas is considered in the future as one of the basic raw materials for the production of motor
fuels and organic synthesis products. In this paper we propose to process Shubarkul coal using the
electric hydro-pulse technology. Application of electric hydraulic technique brings substantial
economic benefits and contributes to significantly reduce harmful emissions into the environment
or recycle harmful waste products. Studying the influence of electric hydraulic effects on heterogeneous media due to rising costs for energy and mineral resources, the deterioration of the environmental situation is currently necessary and urgent. In the article, results of studying the impact
of plasticizers on the stability of water-coal suspension obtained from sludge Shubarkol coals are
presented. Within the framework of the posed problem on determination of the optimal reagent-plasticizer, an experimental setup has been worked out. As a reagent-plasticizer, fuel oil, gelatin,
and sodium humate were applied. The process of enrichment of coal slimes from the Shubarkol
field was studied; it is shown that the best results were obtained with the use of sodium humate.
The application of humate sodium as a plasticizing agent allows one to create a water-coal suspension with a spatial structure not stratifying for a long time.
