Analytical verification of sedimentation models based on the discrete element method

E. N. D'yachenko

Tomsk State University
References:
Abstract: A way to verify numerical models based on the discrete element method is presented. This kind of models is often applied for the simulation of sedimentation, filtering, and slow shrinking processes. The proposed method involves a comparison of a test calculation with the exact analytical solution.
Keywords: simulation, verification, discrete element method, sedimentation.
