Abstract:
Generation of the geometry in detail processing is the most important aspect of the machine-building industry. The problem of processing of the surface of the driving gear detail, in the most general formulation, is the task of two surfaces approaching up to the point of contact where the surfaces have the common tangent plane. Systems of equations for the determination of the milling cutter location, at the contact point, have been derived. Analytical and numeral solutions of these systems have been found. A complex of special computer programs to control the milling cutter motion while processing the detail was developed.
