Two-particle kinetic model of the solar wind in approximation of frozenin magnetic field
N. R. Min'kova Tomsk State University, Department of Physics and Engineering
Abstract:
The suggested kinetic model of the solar plasma flow is based on the equation for two-particle probability distribution of electron and proton velocities, Maxwell equations, and the assumptions about a Parker type frozen-in magnetic field. The dependences derived for speed, density, and flux of plasma are consistent with bservational data for the solar wind. The restrictions to the presented model that result from the analysis of the drift equation for charged particles in the interplanetary magnetic field are discussed.
