Abstract:
The analytic dependance of space distribution and energy of the external neutron source on the subcritical homogeneous reactor power rate is obtained. Power rate calculation results for the reactor cores of different geometry and material composition are presented. It is shown that the external source localization in the center of the reactor core could increase reactor power in 4.5 times in comparison with the case of the source even distribution in the core.
