On the resource allocation between protection of the system and constructing redundant components
V. M. Bure, V. V. Karelin St. Petersburg State University, 7/9, Universitetskaya embankment, St. Petersburg, 199034, Russian Federation
Abstract:
The article presents a study of the problem of resource allocation between increasing protection of components and constructing redundant components in some system that is subjected to threats. The defender aims at minimizing the entire system destruction probability during certain time horizon by using the best resource allocation strategy. Dynamic resource distribution strategy is considered. The random time of attack time is represented beta-distribution. The paper is closed in the considered problem to the paper [1]. The main differences are connected with using another distribution for random time attack and with using quite another formula for destruction probability. Refs 4.
