Abstract: Single-mass mathematical model of hydraulic press ram braking in upper position is considered. The influence of control valve closing time, its constructive characteristics and coefficient of hydraulic system quality on dynamics of ram braking are analyzed. Practical recommendations on creating effective braking systems of hydraulic press ram in upper position are given.
