Abstract:
The results of fatigue testing and measurement of residual stress of surface-hardened smooth samples and samples with a notch are given. It was established that the test mean integral residual stress can be used to predict the fatigue endurance limit of samples at elevated temperatures, using the residual stress remaining at the end of the resource.
