Equation of State of Porous Mixture of Condensed Species under Dynamic Loading

Abstract:
Equation of state for describing of a thermodynamically equilibrium porous mixture of several condensed species is presented. At the description of a mixture the model of interacting and interpenetrating continua, the principles of which construction are stated in the monographies of R. I. Nigmatulin, is used. The equilibrium condition is determined by conditions of equality of pressure, temperatures and velocity of the mixture compounds. In model the presence of air in pore space is taken into account. Applicability of such an equation of state for the mixture is validated by comparisons of shock adiabats porous copper, porous mixture of copper and diamond and Elconit calculated with the use of this equation and available data in the literature. The thus-derived equation of state of the thermodynamically equilibrium mixture, which takes into account the characteristics of the species and their mass concentrations, offers a fairly accurate description of the behavior of a porous medium.
