A problem for a micropolar rectangular region in the fifth approximation

M. M. Kantor

Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics
Abstract: A thin isotropic micropolar two-dimensional region is studied. Equations in displacements and rotations in the fifth approximation are derived in moments with respect to Legendre polinomials. Based on these equations, the solutions obtained in the framework of the micropolar theory are compared with the solutions obtained in the framework of the classical theory of elasticity.
Key words: thin body theory, Legendre polinomials, fifth approximation, moment theory, micropolar theory.
