Abstract:
The results based on the data produced by the university satellite “Tatiana-2” are presented. The estimate for the yaw angle in the process of the spacecraft orientation in the Earth direction is obtained. The comparison between the satellite predicted angular movement and the telemetry data is carried out. The improvement for the small satellite Earth direction orientation control algorithm is proposed. The orientation accuracy for arbitrary yaw angle values can be increased using this improvement. The possibility of using the micro vibratory gyroscopes in small satellite orientation control feedback is studied.
Key words:
yaw angle estimation, orientation control algorithm, micro vibratory gyroscope.
