Abstract: New results of experimental investigation of the penetration of vertical plane and circular turbulent jets through a free surface of a liquid in relatively narrow channels of different extent are presented in case of the overflow regime of water removal at the end sides. The behavior of the experimental correlations for the period is discussed for self-oscillating flow patterns. An analysis of some new peculiar properties of the flows under consideration is given.
Key words: jet, free surface, penetration, self-oscillation.
