Abstract: An asymptotic analysis of the boundary value problem on the inertialess axially symmetric flow of a perfectly rigid plastic incompressible material inside a clearance between two approaching coaxial cones is performed. The ratio of the distance between the conical surfaces to the length of the generatrix is taken as a small geometric parameter. By means of the procedure of asymptotic integrating, the coefficients of several principal terms in the expansions for both velocities and stresses are obtained in analytical form. The subdomains where the asymptotic behavior is known to be absent are determined.
Key words: perfectly rigid plastic solid, thin layer, conical surface, asymptotic expansions, velocity, stress, pressure, compression, squeezing.
